My Decision to keep fighting.

The Last couple of years were kind of rough on me. I had lots of injuries and I was feeling fatigued during training and fights. When you feel like this it takes all the fun out of being in the cage. I was starting to think that was going to continue. Going in to the last fight with Pineda I was pretty certain that was going to be my last fight. I talked to my friends, family, and coaches. I told them how I was feeling and i told them I would make up my decision about retirement after the fight. This Fight felt different, I felt great and I felt no fatigue. I felt like i did when I won the belt in 2008/2009.  I felt like I could of easily went 5 rounds and I had  a lot of fun being out there. Last week I signed a new 5 fight deal with UFC and plan to continue on and finish up my new contract. Thanks for watching and thanks for the support. Special thanks to my team American Top Team and my sponsors Top Secret Nutrition, Booster, and Jaco.

  2. Heck yeah!! Glad to hear the great news!! Congrats on the latest win and the beginning of a win streak! And big congrats on the 5 fight deal.. Always have loved watching you scrap Mike keep up the hard work and dedication!

Here’s a good solid plan MTB!

4 fights to a title fight… 5th fight wins title (again)…Sign another 5 fight deal …defend all 5 and then think about retirement. That keeps you busy for 3 years… Then MAYBE think about retiring at the ripe old age of 40 :-)

Mike Thomas Brown. The soft spoken, often hardship-plagued featherweight that noone seems to want to enter the cage with..for good reason. theyve called him ‘mayhem’, theyve called him MTB, theyve called him the undefeatable underdog, theyve even called him the Lean, Mean, Tangerine….the giant midget. the squid squire. and many more… happy am i to find that he will be continuing his vision quest. happier am i to KNOW that he will soon find his greatest success.. beleive in yourself mike, as much as your fans and overseers do, and you will never fail… your legacy is already second to none, and you have and will continue to make history that is irreplaceable. Thank you for continuing Mr Brown.

I have been following your fights since 2008. This is the first time ever posting on the internet. If feel that this is worthy of my comment. I have enjoyed seeing you fight in the past, and I am happy to here that you will be competing upcoming fights.
